My vision for technology at my workplace:


To have all tools and technology available:

  • To allow access to all online manuals and needed information to the support technicians, allowing them to be successful on their job in helping callers to reach their expected goals.
  • To meet the University standards in providing such information being aware of copyright infringement and/or piracy to the students and callers.
  • To develop the skills necessary in order for the technicians to be more proficient and to improve the effectiveness of the technicians in order to assist the callers.
  • To create better communication between other technicians even with technology.
  • To provide a platform of teamwork and partnership among the technicians.

My vision statement was inspired by the vision statement written for Mansfield Public Schools Sun-Associates

At the University Support Desk there are online manuals available via our support.uakron. Also on that page there are instructions on how to assist others or self assist with pretty much anything including network connections, setting up smart phones. changing passwords, etc. All students are encouraged to help each other. There is a group distribution email list available for all techs to share ideas and to assist each other.
